I encourage you to read up - there's a lot of information in the agenda packet and the supplemental agenda packet. Don't just read the letters either in support or against, they may be mostly other people's opinions. Read the facts. Douglas County has a page full of informational links here.
Be sure your voice is heard! Because of COVID-19, public comment may be made in the following ways:
To make public comment on the BOCC Meeting: — Prior to the BOCC Meeting:
— Online at: https://www.douglascountynv.gov/government/board_of_county_commissioners... — Blank public comment forms will also be available in the alcove of the Historic Courthouse (1616 Eighth Street, Minden, Nevada) and completed forms may also be left at the drop box at the same location.
— Written and mailed to Douglas County Manager’s Office at Post Office Box 218, Minden, Nevada 89423
— To make public comment during the Board meeting, the public must call 775-783-6007 and leave a voice message which will be played for the Board of Commissioners and public when public comment is announced.
