BACKGROUND

As a young man, Nathan was very driven. He graduated from Douglas High School in 1991 as the first student to receive college credit for his high school Career & Technical Education (CTE) classwork. In addition to participating in sports, Nathan took an after-school job with the administration office of the East Fork Fire District and also began drafting for local General Contractors. Nathan went on to study at Western Nevada College and found a job as the appraisal technician for the Carson City Assessor’s Office at the age of 18. In fact, the culmination of his classwork and quick ascension to a career made him front-page news in the Record-Courier (article)

Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude, Nathan settled down in the valley marrying his lovely wife of 30 years in Genoa. Eventually, they became proud parents of three boys. Two have graduated from Douglas High School and study at WNC and UNR, and their youngest is attending Douglas High School.
